His elementary education was received
at Western Junior School and secondary education at The Government High
School. At the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus) he was president
of The Bahamian Students Association, sang with the University Singers,
and was one of the regularly scheduled organists at the University Chapel.
He was tutored in orchestration as a private student of Nancy Patterson-Strelau
at the University of Miami, Florida, and studied orchestral conducting
as a private student of Harold Glickman of New York City.
